What is Kapok, and Why is It in These Body Pillows?
Kapok is a natural fiber that comes from the seed pods of the Kapok Tree, a highly revered tree that grows in rainforests around the world. People of the Americas consider it a sacred tree that connects "heaven and earth".
I happened upon this silky fiber by accident in 1988 when I was making my first body pillow. As soon as I tried it out in the pillows, I loved the support it provided and was thankful that it was environmentally-friendly.
Kapok has a solid stability that not only supports with muscle-massaging softness, but also functions as a solid base for stretching out tense muscles. When muscles and joints get tight from exercise, the kapok body pillow's firm stability can be used positionally to lean against and stretch out the tightness.
